The Spade pictured below was a high performance 250cc motorcycle claiming to have 40 HP.  Sold in Europe, the price would have been too high for the US.

The VT250 Spada was offered during the end of the 1980's only. This one is a 1989 model.

 The motorcycle pictured above is the 1959-1960 CE71 Sport.  This 250cc bike was produced in very low numbers estimated to be under 300.  Honda called all of them back because of mechanical problems, however, and estimated 30 or so remained in private hands.  There are only a few known to currently exist.  

Below is a NSR 250 oval piston sport bike:

The NSR oval piston sportbikes were built in 250 and 750cc sizes.  They were very linited edition machines and are very collectable though they rarely come up for sale!  The V-4 engine with "oval Pistons" so would be very hard to rebuild and therefore a very expensive venture.

 

 

The return of the Magna was significant:

This Magna was first built from 1982 to 1987.  A new Magna was unveiled in 1988 which was more of a power cruiser.  New versions continued till 2005.  This 1988 version is really a good looking bike.

The Honda CL250 Scrambler was first offered in the 1962 model linup however bikes were tested as early as 1959.  I have seen pictures of early scramblers with the 50cc sport tank as well as several pictures of bikes with the tank shown above.  This rare tank was no doubt a pre production item though I have seen an ad with this tank and a video with one on a bike.  I have never seen one in real life nor have I ever talked to someone who has.  This tank did exist and hopefully there is still one in existance!  The seat also appears to be shorter than the traditional 250/305 seat.

The tank below is from a very early 250 Dream.  The item of interest is the "bug eye" tank badge.  The 125/150/160/305 tank badges were flat against the chrome tank trim.  From what I understand, the "bug eye" version of the tank was primarily on the dry sump Dreams but a few pre 1961 C(A)250's ended up with this tank.  These tanks are very rare and I have only seen several of these tanks in real life.  By 1961, the 250's had a different tank with a small "pressed out" badge.  Again, even this tank was for the 250's only and by 1964, all 250/305 Dreams had the same tank.  I think there were a very few 1963 1/2 models with the final incarnation of the Dream tank though I cannot confirm this.

 Some refer to this tank as the "eyebrow" tank!  

Early Japanese CB350:

 This super rare early CB350 (the only one known to exist in the US) looks just like a 1968 CB350 engine put in a 305 Superhawk frame.  The only difference is the tank which has a little different curve at the bottom though many would never notice it.  The fenders are also slightly larger and are also chromed which most would also not notice (the old Superhawk had grey painted fenders).  This more than rare motorcycle is owned by VJMC member Ellis Holman.  These bikes in 250cc and 350cc form were sold in Japan only.  This is a truly unique bike because it was a genuine "transition" motorcycle bringing the old Superhawk and the new CB350 together.  Both machines were groundbreakers for Honda in America.
